Project Bani Hayoune Garden
Ongoing project (2019-today)
Over the past couple of years I have been living and working in a grassroots project in the village Beni Hayoun, Morocco. The project is located in the Daraa valley next to the Sahara desert in one of the driest regions of Morocco.
Together with Es-Said Et-Talmoudi, his family and with volunteers from allover the world, we are restoring and rebuilding an old house that has been built by Saids ancestors around 200 years ago. While more and more people are moving away from this region, we are aiming to make the place livable again and are working on our shared dream: creating a forest garden, a guest place for travelers and an empowering workshop space for the women and children of Beni Hayoun and Sahara region.
