The crickets dance, the sun burns (diary II, 2021/2022)
Ongoing project

Traveling between and living in the Netherlands, Morocco and Denmark, I work intensively on an archive consisting of photos, drawings and texts. With my Dutch-Danish origin, place of birth and early childhood in England and now living on the edge of the Sahara desert, I feel proportionally connected to all these locations. Every place is home and at the same time no place is home. Just as soon as we can feel uprooted from one place, we automatically search for (re)connections in the other. Home is where I am, home I carry with me.

The following photographs are made in and around Beni Hayoun, southeastern Morocco.
